Appointment Prep

these steps will guide you through everything you need to do before arriving for your appointment from caring for your skin to planning your day.

Hydrate well the day before and the morning of your appointment.

Proper hydration strengthens your skin and helps the tattoo process go more smoothly.

2

Eat a full meal before your appointment.

A full meal stabilizes blood sugar, reduces dizziness and keeps you comfortable throughout the session.

3

Avoid alcohol and blood thinning substances for at least 24 hours beforehand.

consuming alcohol right before your appointment will increase bleeding during your appointment.

4

Get a full night’s rest.

Being well rested helps your body manage pain and heal efficiently.

5

Moisturize before your appointment.

moisturizing the general area of where you're planning to get your new tattoo  in the days leading up to your appointment will allow an even smoother application of your tattoo and easier heal.

6

Wear loose and comfortable clothing preferably black.

Choose clothing that:

    •    Allows full access to the area being tattooed within your personal comfort level.

    •    Will not interfere, bunch up or need constant adjusting during your session.

    •    Is loose enough to avoid rubbing or sticking to your fresh tattoo.

    •    Is black or dark colored since ink and stencil marks can stain fabrics on the off chance they will come in contact with your clothing.

This ensures I can work efficiently without clothing restricting visibility or motion.

7

Bring water, snacks, and anything that helps you stay comfortable.

bringing water, snacks and entertainment keeps your energy stable  and mind distracted during long sessions.

8

Do not shave the area yourself unless instructed.

I will shave the area in the studio to prevent cuts or irritation prior to the appointment. I cannot tattoo over irritated skin or fresh cuts.

9

Avoid sunburn, tanning, self-tanner, harsh exfoliants, or retinoids on the tattoo area.

I cannot tattoo over sunburnt skin or damaged skin barrier.

10
